SPECIALTY INSTRUCTOR
CAVE DIVING INSTRUCTOR
The RAID Specialty Instructor courses have been developed to teach RAID Instructors how to conduct specialty courses to student divers, increasing the breadth of their knowledge, appreciation, and respect of the underwater realm.
This course is designed to provide instructors with the ability to guide students in the development of Advanced Wreck Diving.

Prerequisites For Instructors
A candidate interested in taking this course must:
- Be a minimum of 18 years old.
- Be certified and in date as a RAID Openwater Instructor.
- Be certified and in date as a RAID Divemaster, for the courses a Divemaster can teach.
- Be certified as a diver in the specialty being applied for.
- Complete the registration process, including all mandatory documentation.

SPECIALTY INSTRUCTOR
CAVE DIVING INSTRUCTOR
This course is designed to safely train instructors to teach and certify RAID Cavern divers.
Prerequisites For Instructors
- Be a minimum of 18 years old.
- Be a certified diver for at least 12 months.
- RAID Open Circuit Instructor.
- Certified RAID Cave 2 diver or equivalent.
- Submit proof of at least 50 logged dives and hours in an overhead (cavern/ cave).
- Certified and current RAID First Aid and RAID Oxygen Provider instructor or equivalent.
- Submit a dive medical passed by a certified diving physician.
- Submit proof of liability insurance where applicable.
- All crossover Instructor equivalent certifications must be emailed to RAID HQ for record keeping.
- Documented proof of prerequisites must be presented to the RRO and RAID HQ for approval prior to any in water training

SPECIALTY INSTRUCTOR
CAVE 1 INSTRUCTOR
This course is designed to safely train instructors to teach and certify RAID Cave 1 (C1) divers.
Prerequisites For Instructors
- Be a minimum of 18 years old.
- Submit current Rescue Breathing, CPR Training and Oxygen Provider certificates.
- Certified and in status as a RAID Open Circuit instructor.
- Certified RAID Nitrox and RAID Deep 40 instructor.
- Certified RAID Cave 2 diver or equivalent.
- Submit proof of at least 100 logged cave hours.
- Certified and current Rescue Breathing / CPR / BLS Training and Oxygen Provider instructor.
- RAID Cave courses must be completed with a diver approved O2 kit and field first aid on site.
- Submit a dive medical passed by a certified diving physician.
- Submit proof of liability insurance where applicable.
- Where proof of prerequisite is documented, these must be presented to the Dive Centre for approval prior to any in water training.
SPECIALTY INSTRUCTOR
CAVE 2 INSTRUCTOR
This course is designed to safely train instructors to teach and certify RAID Cave 2 (C2) divers.

Prerequisites For Instructors
- Be a minimum of 21 years old.
- Submit current Rescue Breathing, CPR Training and Oxygen Provider certificates.
- Certified and in status as a RAID Open Circuit instructor.
- Certified RAID Nitrox and RAID Deco 50 instructor or higher.
- Certified RAID Cave 2 diver or equivalent.
- Submit proof of at least 150 logged cave dive hours.
- Have certified at least 10 Cave 1 divers or equivalent.
- Certified and current in Rescue Breathing / CPR / BLS Training and Oxygen Provider instructor.
- Submit a dive medical passed by a certified diving physician.
- Submit proof of liability insurance where applicable.
- Documented proof of prerequisites must be presented to the Dive Centre for approval prior to any in water training.

To get started, all you need to do is register with RAID and create an online profile by clicking here. Once registered, you can purchase the course online in our “Store”, and then start reading the manuals and complete the quiz and exam. Once registered, you will have immediate access to RAID’s unique FREe-Learning platform, where you can download your course and start your academic training immediately. FREe-Learning allows you to download the manuals and complete all the associated quizzes. Once you have done this, you will need to contact your local RAID Dive Center to schedule your course and let them guide you through the training process. Once you have agreed all associated fees, your dive center will open the full training program so that you can complete any exams, have all your skills signed off, and receive your electronic certification card. Your RAID online course includes all your training materials, which you can access for life. Upon completion, your internationally recognized electronic certification will be issued.
