OPEN WATER FREEDIVER INSTRUCTOR
The intent of the RAID Freediving Instructor program is to provide candidates with the knowledge, teaching and practical skills to successfully train RAID Foundation and Open Water Freedivers.

Instructor
Only an active RAID Freediving Instructor Trainer or higher can conduct the RAID Freediving Instructor program. The RAID Freediving Instructor Trainer is to be in direct control of all activities and is to visually observe all practical performance criteria for certification. The RAID Freediving Instructor Trainer is to ensure all theory components are passed by the candidate and have been reviewed to correct any knowledge gaps before certification.
Content
The RAID Freediving Instructor Program is taught by online theory, and all required information is contained in the online training manuals for RAID Freediving Instructor and in the student manuals for each RAID freediver level. All practical performance criteria and skills descriptions are in the RAID Freediving Instructor manual and Instructor Development Program.
Prerequisites For Instructors
- Starting Age is 18.
- Have a current medical exam for diving not older than 6 months and signed by a licensed medical practitioner.
Have one of the following ratings:
- Have satisfactorily completed the RAID Advanced Freediver Program or equivalent.
